15 Movies You Must See Before You Die. Part 2 (10-5)

Part 2 (10-5)

Welcome to Part 2!!! This is my list of 15 Movies You Must See Before You Die!!! These are some of my favorite movies... ones that changed the way I feel about movies or made a huge impact on me. Have you seen any of these movies? Would you make any changes? What would your list be?

If you haven't see Part one read it Here

10. Let the Right One In(Låt den Rätte Komma In) (2008)
why you need to see it:
This cane out around the same time as Twilight but is a totally different breed of vampire movie. This a coming of age movie about blossoming romance and "funny feelings". Oskar is bullied in school and at home. He feels alone until Eli literally swoops in to save the day. The only problem is she's a vampire... There are some truly scary moments (don't worry there is no sparkling)

9. Frailty (2002)
why you need to see it:
This is one those movies that will blow your mind. You will be thinking about for weeks after. Frailty is about a single father and his 2 young sons. One day Daddy wakes up saying God has commanded him to kill demons. The young boys are at a paradox they know what their father is doing is wrong. but isn't it also wrong to not listen to your father? I won't give too much away just go watch it!

8. Hobo With a Shotgun! (2011)

why you need to see it:
You'd swear this was a late 80's Troma movie! Hobo takes everything that was great about 80's B-movies and jams it into 1 epic movie. this started out as a fake trailer for "Grindhouse" but I think only made it to the Canadian release. Anyways this movie is freaking awesome!!! as the title states it's about a Hobo with a shotgun trying to clean up the scum of the world. every moment is so over-the-top and full of the best gore straight from video store shelves!!! I loved all the 80's in jokes and references.

7. High Tension (Haute Tension) (2003)

why you need to see it:
This is another movie that with a "holy shit" ending, you won't see coming. High Tension is a french horror movie that pays homage to exploitation films of the 70's. and slasher films of the 80's . This movie doesn't feel old though its very fresh and modern. kinda like what Scream did in the 90's but with almost zero comedy. High Tension is a very intense horror thriller. the two main women are literally running for their lives. you will be on edge right up until the end.

6.  House of Flying Daggers(Shi Mian Mai Fu) (2004)

why you need to see it:
This is truly the most beautiful wuxia (martial arts) movie I've ever seen. The colors are just as much a character in the film as the actors themselves. Colors used ironically to express the emotions or intensify them. The Flying Daggers are like Robin Hood and his merry men, and our main hero's summoned to kill their leader. He breaks the daughter of the old leader out of prison hoping she will lead him to the secret hideout. Unfortunately this now
makes him an accomplice and everyone is trying to kill them. Along the way he starts to fall in love with her. This is a movie you can watch with your wife or girlfriend as it's not just about martial arts but a very intense love story.
